I gave 874 React icons feelings. Give one a job.
Your upload failed. The icon is still an arrow. Excellent communication, everyone.
I built Weasel so icons can show what’s actually happening: downloading, complete, error—or whatever your app just put them through. It’s 874 free, MIT-licensed SVG icons for React, with a website where you can try their states and change colours, size and speed.
Give the playground a small job:
1. Search for an icon your app needs.
2. Open its controls and try the states.
3. See whether it can express one real interaction in your app.
Try it: https://weasel.vinodds.xyz/
Then reply with: icon + missing state + what triggers it.
For example: “Upload + retrying + the connection dropped halfway through.” Or “Bell + muted until tomorrow + I need eight hours of peace.”
There’s also a DIY section with a coding-agent skill for adding custom states and glyphs. Your custom source stays in your project.
If finding the controls or the React example turns into an escape room, tell me exactly where you got stuck. The icons are allowed to be dramatic. The navigation isn’t.
