VitaSnap V2: you told me, so I rebuilt it
A few weeks ago some of you tried VitaSnap and told me what bugged you. It asked you to sign up too early, there were too many slides and menus, and it broke inside X's in-app browser.
So I rebuilt it with Grok, no code. Here's what's new in V2:
• Try it without an account. You get 2 free meal analyses and 1 fridge recipe set, saved on your phone. If you sign up later, they carry over.
• One promise on the first screen: snap your meal, get the calories. The 4 onboarding slides are gone. There's just one button.
• Your next step. After every meal or fridge recipe you get one simple action, like adding a vegetable, a 10 minute walk or a 2 minute reset. If it doesn't fit, tap "Another idea".
• Works inside X's browser. No forced redirect, and you can pick a photo if the camera is blocked.
• Try a sample plate if you don't have a meal in front of you.
• Share my plate. It makes a clean image with the dish, the rough calories and your next step. Your name and photo aren't on it.
• "Was this estimate right?" Thumbs under each result, so you can tell me when I'm off.
Most calorie apps give you a number and leave you there. VitaSnap gives you the number, then one next step for your day.
The estimates are still a ballpark, not medical advice, and there are no good food or bad food labels. Stress tools stay free.
Thank you to everyone who tested the first version and told me honestly what didn't work. If you try V2, I'd love to know whether the next step card actually helps or just gets in the way 🙏
