Excited to hunt Ubuntu 26.04 today ๐Ÿš€ Ubuntu has been one of the most important foundations in the developer and open-source world for years, and this new release feels especially relevant for the way people build now โ€” across local dev environments, containers, cloud infrastructure, and AI workloads. What stands out to me about Ubuntu 26.04 is that it continues to balance stability and modern tooling really well. Itโ€™s approachable for individual developers, but also powerful enough for teams running serious production infrastructure. A few reasons I thought it was worth sharing here: improved performance and security updated developer tooling strong support for cloud-native workflows a dependable base for both desktop and server use If youโ€™re building in AI, shipping backend systems, working with Kubernetes, or just want a solid Linux environment, this is a launch worth checking out. Would love to hear from the team and the community: Whatโ€™s your favorite improvement in Ubuntu 26.04?

I prefer and use Kubuntu. It is still Ubuntu. It is extremely stable. Though I think they should've kept software properties package installed by default in this new release.
