Translait: bubble AI translator - Convenient translation for busy travelers

by
Did your feed reload or map reload because you had to switch apps to translate something? When you go out during your travel launch the translait bubble, it will be quickly accessible everywhere. When you are done you can dismiss it.

I created this app because I moved to Portugal and I constanlty needed to translate stuff when moving through the city while following directions on a map. Having to go search for an app and wait for it to launch can take quite a while and a lot of attention in what can be a stressful moment if you are in a hurry. I remembered Android has an API to show chats as a bubble that floats above other apps, and it turns out you can put almost any part of your app in the bubble, so I did this app.

Price is a bit of a concern, but this being the first product I launch I didn't want to end up with a massive API bill if I offered it for free. There is however a one week promotional code you can use to try it out and give some feedback. If you are traveling it can be quite a useful tool.

I am planning to add a quick access tile so that if you dismiss the bubble you can launch it again by pulling down on the notification menu, instead of having to open the app to relaunch it. I will also try to add speech and photo mode. I am also exploring how to make it available for free with local translation models and keeping the premium translation paid.

I thought about how to bring this to iOS and while using live activities with the dynamic island and maybe shortcuts *might* work but I am afraid it might be rejected by Apple, if I see enough good feedback I might just try it.

I am very interested in feedback about the following topics:
- Do you actually find it helpful/reliable/conveninent?
- Is the price worth it?
- Would you like other features like a widget or even a baing able to use it on the lockscreen (like when navigating with Google Maps)?
- Are there other phone features you might want to quickly access like this?
