Hey PH! I built Timezappy because I needed a tool that did a simple job, and did it cheaply.
I'm a contractor, and every two weeks I need to invoice my clients. Sometimes I get so caught up in the work that I forget to send the invoice. On top of that, I was logging hours in one place and invoicing in another. I wanted the whole process automated, so I took it as a challenge to build something I actually like using. As I've used the product, I've added additional features that I think are pretty useful such as an expiring link for the work detail.
The whole point of this was to a avoid signing up/paying for something like QuickBooks, which I think is overkill for someone like me: a one-person operation.
The result: log hours, set an invoicing schedule (once a month, twice a month, or monthly), and a nice, professional invoice sends itself. That's it. That's the app. A couple of cool features I added:
1. See all your hours in a calendar view
2. (mentioned above) Optionally give your clients an expiring link to see a detailed breakdown of your work
