Hey everyone! I built Timely because I used to work hourly jobs and was tired of forgetting to track my hours or doing mental math to figure out what I'd earned. Every app I tried was either way too complicated or looked like it was designed in 2012. I wanted something dead simple — open the app, tap one button, and you're clocked in. That's it. No setup wizard, no 15-field form. Just start working and watch your earnings tick up in real time. What started as a basic clock-in/clock-out timer has grown into something I'm really proud of. Timely now has: - Live Activities & Dynamic Island - see your shift timer right on your Lock Screen - Home screen widgets - clock in without even opening the app - Location-based auto clock in/out - arrive at work and Timely handles the rest - Scheduled shifts - plan your week and get reminders - Earnings tracking with tax estimates - know what you're actually taking home I'm a solo developer and I don't come from a coding background, so the whole journey has been a learning experience. The biggest evolution in my process was realizing that the app needed to stay simple above all else. Every time I added a feature, I asked: "Would someone working a busy restaurant shift actually use this?" If the answer was no, it got cut.
