What do people want in a Modern note taking app?
by•
So, I am trying to build a note taking app called "Thoughts" modern, minimal and it works.
It is inspired by Twitter and so it helps to make the ui/ux way more amazing and beautiful, but i really want to know:
What do they expect from a modern note taking app?
What people really want the main focus for the note taking should ?
Features that should be mandatory to include in a note taking app?
What should its design language should be?
This all questions are real and i am really interested to know what people want so we can build something more powerful.

Update: I used a lot of the feedback around modern note-taking apps and pushed Thoughts further on Android.
The new direction is:
fast micro-notes instead of heavy documents
local-first and offline by default
clean X/Twitter-style writing flow
Minimal Mode for distraction-free writing
privacy features like App Lock, encrypted backups, Secure Recents protection, Dual / Decoy Mode, and Emergency Wipe
customization through themes, accent colors, fonts, and app icons
My current belief: a modern notes app should not try to become a second brain for everyone. Some people just need a fast, private place to capture thoughts before they disappear.
Still open to feedback: what would make you actually keep using a notes app daily?
