TextReads - Your articles, read aloud with word + sentence highlighting

by
Most Text-to-Speech tools read at you. TextReads reads with you. Every word and sentence is highlighted as it's spoken, so your eyes and ears stay in sync. Click any sentence to jump to that exact point. No copy-pasting, no separate app, just open an article, hit play, and follow along. Free to start, with multiple natural-sounding premium voices for longer sessions.

I built TextReads because I had too many articles open and my eyes already felt heavy by the end of the day. I wanted something that could immediately read the page, no copy-pasting, no switching apps, so I could listen while doing other things with the text still visible if I wanted to follow along. The part I kept obsessing over was the highlighting. Sentence-level felt incomplete, so I pushed for word-by-word sync. That single feature changed how the whole thing felt. It went from a Text-to-Speech tool to something that actually keeps you engaged. I also added speed control (0.5x to 2x) for the same reason: some articles you want to absorb slowly, others you just need to get through. Having that control makes it genuinely useful for different moods and reading goals.
