I think this is one of the less obvious problems with using cloud storage for years.
At first, everything is organized.
Then you accumulate:
Old backups
Duplicate files
Large videos
Forgotten archives
Shared folders
Temporary files that were never deleted
Now multiply that across 4 or 5 cloud providers.
The result is a lot of data, but surprisingly little visibility.
That's part of the reason I'm building Syncrix.
The idea is not just to move files between clouds.
It's to help answer:
What do I actually have?
Where is it?
How much space is it using?
Is it duplicated?
Should it be moved somewhere cheaper?
Does it need another backup?
That's why features like global search, duplicate detection, large-file discovery, cloud-to-cloud transfer and scheduled backup are all becoming part of the same product.
