From tapping keys to talking code?

by

Lately, I find myself leaving the keyboard behind more and more. Not because I’m lazy (though that would be nice 😄), but because voice input just feels faster and more natural.

It started with frustration: typos, too much backspacing, constant distractions. And honestly, tools like Cloud Code, GitHub Copilot, and vibe-based coding flows work so well with voice these days, it makes you wonder why we’re still typing everything.

But then came the next challenge: privacy.

Most voice-to-text tools send your audio to the cloud. Convenient, sure, but it doesn’t always feel great to have your full flow (including sensitive notes or code) shipped off to some remote server.

💡 That’s what pushed me to start building my own voice tool. Lightweight, local, and fully in my control. Started it for myself, but I’m guessing I’m not the only one who’s been thinking about this.

👉 How about you? Still sticking to the keyboard, or has your voice started becoming your first input too?
