We built this because contractors kept asking the same question: "I got paid $1,000, how much of that was tax?" Enter a tax-included total and pick a province, and it works backward to show the pre-tax amount and the tax paid, separately. Unlike a basic GST/HST calculator, this one also handles PST, RST, and QST where they apply on top - British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Quebec. Covers all 13 provinces and territories, checked against current CRA rates. We also build StrikeHoney, field service management software for Canadian trade contractors, and this tool runs the same tax logic built into every invoice there.
