Mac users: What video player do you actually use, and what’s still missing?

I’m curious what people actually use for local video playback on macOS these days.

VLC, IINA, Infuse, QuickTime, something else?

Also curious what you mostly watch: movies/TV, anime, downloaded content, high-bitrate 4K/HDR, lectures, etc.

What’s one thing you wish your current player did better?

Could be playback quality, HDR/Dolby Vision, subtitles, audio controls, UI, library management, performance, casting, or something completely different.

I’m building Stoic, a new macOS video player, and I’m trying to understand what people genuinely care about rather than just adding features for the sake of it.
