Sparewise - See why your Windows drive is full, free space safely

by•
Sparewise safely frees the space developer and AI tools fill on Windows 10/11 (x64/ARM): caches, local AI models, Docker/WSL disks. Shows the drive in four parts; clears only what rebuilds itself; asks first; Recycle Bin/14-day set-aside. Free, no account/ads/telemetry. v0.3.54 opens sooner; Windows extras lists in 1.5s not 10; Home drive ring says 'Caches safe to clear' like Smart Care; junk card shows it is looking while reading; drive map fix. Feedback welcome.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm the developer of Sparewise. I kept running out of disk space on machines where my own files weren't the problem. When I measured, most of it was stuff tools leave behind: a Docker disk that never shrinks, Hugging Face and Ollama models I tried once, npm and pip caches, browser caches, Windows Update leftovers. Sparewise shows the drive in four parts: what rebuilds by itself, what can be downloaded again, Windows itself, and what exists only on your PC. It only offers to clear the first kind, explains each item in plain words, asks before every change, and puts what it removes in the Recycle Bin or sets it aside for 14 days, so nothing is lost by mistake. For developers and AI users it also lists local models with when each was last used, shows Docker and WSL disks with the right way to shrink them, and works as an MCP server so Claude, Codex or Cursor can free space within limits you set. It's free, no account, no telemetry, in 30 languages, Windows 10 and 11. I'd love to hear what fills your drive, and what you'd want it to find next.
