Solo Era - Do things alone. Level up your confidence.

by•
Solo Era turns doing things alone into a game. Every week you get one mission, like going to the cinema or a café by yourself. Rate your fear before and after, finish it, earn XP and level up. Your fear curve shows you getting braver over time. Unlike habit trackers, it’s built around one thing: confidence. Journal with photos, streaks and playful haptics keep you coming back. Built solo, for iOS.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Gian, the maker of Solo Era. What inspired it: I kept seeing the “do things alone” trend on TikTok and Instagram: people going to restaurants, cinemas and cafés by themselves and filming it. It looked simple, but I realised most people never take the first step. I wanted an app that makes that first step feel like a game instead of a test. The problem: Doing things alone is easy to postpone and hard to measure. Solo Era gives you one mission a week, and you rate your fear from 1 to 10 before and after. Over time you can see the fear curve go down, which for me is the real proof that it works. How it evolved: It started as a simple to-do list of things to do alone. Then I added one weekly mission, XP and levels, the fear rating, a photo journal, and haptics inspired by Duolingo. I built the whole thing on my own with Claude Code, and the onboarding, the paywall and the animations went through many rewrites after testing on my own phone. It’s iOS only for now. I’d love to hear from you: what’s the one thing you’ve been putting off doing alone? And what would make a mission feel doable for you?
