Snapplings: The Daily Object - Everyone snaps one object. AI makes every one different.

by•
New: The Daily Object. Every day the whole game photographs the same everyday thing — a mug, a shoe, a spoon — and AI turns each photo into a different creature. They all go on one public wall, side by side. Everyone votes; at midnight the winner gets a crown on its card forever. Catch it daily to build a streak. Five days in, strangers show up every morning and a Common has already beaten a Legendary on one vote. Free, no sign-up, works in your browser and on iOS.

Hi Product Hunt — Snapplings launched here a few months ago as "point your camera at anything and AI turns it into a creature". This is the part that turned it into a game people come back to every day. Every morning there's one object. Everyone photographs theirs. The AI turns each photo into a different creature (it also checks, in the same call, that you actually pointed it at the object), and they all go up side by side on a public wall. Then everyone votes, and at midnight the winner gets a crown on their card for good. Five days in: strangers show up every morning, someone has caught the object five days running, a Common beat a Legendary on one vote (the rules stayed), and a Reddit commenter's feedback about samey names shipped within the hour. Today's object is on the wall right now at snapplings.com/daily. Takes a minute, no account. I'll be here all day — ask me anything about how it works, or tell me what your object became.

Hey Product Hunt! Snapplings turns any photo into a collectible creature. This launch is a new daily ritual on top of it: The Daily Object.

Every day the whole game gets the same everyday thing to photograph. A mug, a shoe, a plant, today a sponge. AI turns each photo into a different creature and they all go on one public wall, side by side. Everyone votes, and at midnight the winner gets a crown on its card forever. Catch it every day to build a streak.

A week in, the wall is the best thing I've built. Same object, wildly different monsters, and a Common beat a Legendary on votes. Yesterday somebody's plant became a lion.

It's free, no sign-up, works in any browser, and the iOS app is on the App Store. Today's object is a sponge. Snap the one by your sink and post what you get:
