SleepOmo - Bedtime stories in your own voice, even when you're away.

Tell SleepOmo your child's name, age and what tonight needs (a first day at school, a bad dream, a new sibling) and it writes a brand-new, gentle story around them, then reads it aloud in one of six storyteller voices. On Premium, record your voice once and their stories are told in it, even on nights you can't be there. Press play and the screen dims itself, so they can close their eyes and just listen. Free to start: a new story every night and the full library, no sign-up needed.

I'm a dad, and SleepOmo is my answer to the hardest half hour of our day: bedtime. If you're a parent, you know how it goes. Your kid wants a new story every night, and by the end of a long day you've run out of ones to tell. The easy way out is a screen, and in our house a cartoon at bedtime ends with "one more episode", not a sleepy kid. Kids also take things to bed with them: starting school, a new baby at home, a bad dream, being scared of the dark, a parent who's away for work. A story is how you talk to a little one about those things. But there's never a book about exactly that, on exactly the night you need it. So SleepOmo writes it. Tell it your child's name, age and what's on their mind, and it writes a brand-new story with them as the hero, then reads it aloud. Press play and the screen dims itself, so the phone can lie face-down while they close their eyes and listen. On Premium you record your voice once and their stories are told in it. On the nights you can't be in the room, the last voice they hear is still yours. Most of what changed while I built it was learning what bedtime doesn't need. No cliffhangers. "Do you want to know what happens next?" starts a negotiation at 8pm. Every story ends with its character safe and asleep, and if there's a next chapter, the story promises it instead of asking. No pile of buttons. The end of a story used to show eight. Now it's Play again, Another, or Goodnight, and nothing plays on its own. No sign-up wall. Nobody wants to fill in a form with a tired kid on their lap, so you can hear tonight's story first and make an account later. No feed, no streaks, no badges. You come for one story, and the app is done when the story is. It's free to start, with a new story every night and the whole library. Parents, I'd love to hear from you: what's the hardest part of bedtime at your house?
