While this is a nice update, the thing that kills me about the slack android app is image uploading. On every other chat app I've ever used, it will compress the image before uploading. Slack for iOS does this. On Android? Nope, it uploads a 15mb photo (on my data plan nonetheless).
Also, in this new update, they somehow removed the option to "take photo", I can only attach from my previously taken photos, so now I have to exit the app, open the camera, take a photo, go back into slack, find the photo, and attach. Not so smooth.
it's taking me some getting used to no longer having the left / right drawers, but the more i'm using it, the more i'm understanding their decision to rework the whole apps navigation
The watch app is clutch. @mentions and direct messages are accessible on the app. Plus now I can follow up on a notification (although dictation isn't really my style).
