SIMINEO helps people discover local businesses, follow the ones they care about, and see their updates directly. There is no paid extra reach, no sponsored placement, and no algorithmic ranking deciding what followers get to see. Businesses publish updates, people choose who they follow, and information stays simple, chronological and easy to find.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I’m Joe, the founder of SIMINEO — and I’m also a tattoo artist in Germany. I started building SIMINEO because, as a local business owner, I became increasingly frustrated with how much visibility depends on algorithms, paid reach and sponsored placement. I wanted to try something simpler: people choose which local businesses they care about, follow them, and see their updates directly. No paid boost. No sponsored ranking. No algorithm deciding which followed business deserves more visibility. I built the platform myself alongside my everyday work at my tattoo studio, without a development team or investors. SIMINEO is still very early. It launched publicly at the end of September, and right now I’m especially interested in one question: Can a platform be useful without trying to maximize the amount of time people spend on it? I’d genuinely appreciate feedback — especially on whether the idea is immediately clear when you first visit the site.

While building SIMINEO, I deliberately left out a few things we've come to accept as normal on social platforms: algorithmic ranking, paid visibility, and the constant pressure to spend more time on the app.

Instead, I started with a much simpler question: what if people could just follow businesses they actually care about, get their updates directly in chronological order, and not even have to be active on the platform for it to work?

I think that's a pretty interesting idea in itself.
