I built Shape because I felt there was still a disconnect between designing and building software. I was constantly moving between different tools, losing context, and trying to make AI fit into a workflow that wasn’t built around it. I wanted to create a new kind of IDE where design and code could live together, with an AI agent that helps you build faster while keeping you in control. Shape started as a personal tool to improve my own workflow, but it grew into something much bigger: a lightweight, design-focused IDE built from the ground up for designers and programmers. I’m excited to share Shape with the Product Hunt community and hear what you think. Shape is currently in beta, and I’m actively improving it based on feedback from early users.
