Senada - An app that plays nature sounds while you type.

by
Dani was a content writer. I was a designer on the seventh floor in Mampang. One night, he called. “I’m bored of every playlist,” he said. “Now I work in silence and instead hear my neighbor doing karaoke.” Then I heard his typing through the phone — thin, steady, like rain on a tin roof. And suddenly, I remembered my village back home. Crickets at night. The hum of a fan. A television still playing. A few weeks later, I started building Senada — an app that plays nature sounds while you type.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Khai, a student who builds things he feels. Senada started from a late-night phone call with a friend. I heard his keyboard through the phone — thin, steady, like light rain on a tin roof. And suddenly, I remembered home back in my village. Crickets at night. Sounds I never noticed until they disappeared. So I built Senada — an app that plays ambient nature sounds while you type. Not music. Not podcasts. Just atmosphere. Not a startup. Not a team. Just me, a laptop, and too many late nights thinking about sound. Currently: night crickets, birds, and quiet spaces. Because sometimes, silence feels too loud.
