XWiki MCP Server is coming soon - Looking for advice and testers 🙏️

For the past few months we've been building the XWiki MCP Server, an extension that integrates the Model Context Protocol (MCP) in XWiki. This allows AI agents, chatbots, and other apps to interact with your XWiki knowledge base.

This extension addresses an issue I've seen requested a loooot recently -- making the knowledge you store in XWiki accessible to AI, without having to do manual exports or hacky API work. If you've ever wanted to search through, edit, or create XWiki pages directly from an AI agent (such as MS Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or any other AI tool that speaks MCP), this is for you!!

✅️ Core functionality available soon - the XWiki MCP server exposes content through MCP. You can query, read and write wiki pages with your AI agent of choice.

✅️ Advanced features (working with objects & classes) - planned. In the near future AI agents will be able to work with the structured data already stored in your XWiki workspace.

Background aside, I'd like your thoughts on 3 things:

• What would you do to maximize adoption? (tutorials, video demos, webinars, resources for specific AI tools?)

• What's one use case you'd love to see this extension solve? (auto generating docs, syncing data from external sources, automated content tagging, or something else entirely?)

• Is there anything obvious we're missing? (like, blatantly obvious)
