Why construction tech adoption fails, and how we are trying to fix it via a conversational UI

by•

Hi Product Hunt community! 👋

As an engineer stepping into the software world, I’ve spent a lot of time analyzing why field adoption fails so hard in the construction industry. Most traditional ERPs and project management tools feel like an administrative chore. Forcing a superintendent or project manager to fight complex web forms to log a daily diary after a 10-hour shift usually results in bad data entry or team frustration.

I believe the problem isn’t the users, it’s the interface. Field teams don't want another database tool; they want to communicate naturally with their technology.

To solve this, my team and I have been building LeanAIOS. Instead of rigid dashboards, we structured it as a Conversational OS. Powered by an AI squad (named Lea) that specializes across different construction disciplines, a site manager can literally just text or send a voice note like a standard chat to handle lookaheads, concrete conformity, and official daily PDF logs.

We are early in this journey and want to make sure we are building something truly useful. We’ve put an open, interactive 5-Story Apartment demo on our homepage () so people can test the conversational workflow without even signing up.

I’d love to open the floor to other makers and B2B SaaS builders:

  1. If you build software for traditional, non-tech industries, how do you tackle user adoption?

  2. What's your take on shifting from strict dashboards to conversational interfaces for enterprise tools?

Looking forward to your insights and open to any feedback! 🚀
