I built a travel app. 35 people downloaded it. I know at least 8 of them personally.

I’m Luca, a developer from Bucharest, and I just spent two months building an app that nobody asked for. :))))

Here’s how it started. Every time I planned a trip I had Skyscanner, Booking, Airbnb, Sixt and Instagram open at once. I ended up with 30 tabs, no idea which flight I’d picked, and zero energy left for the actual vacation. So I did what any reasonable person would do: I built my own app instead of just closing a few tabs.

Travel Force has flights, stays, car rentals, visas and events in one place. It’s free, because I can’t in good conscience charge for something this early.

Current stats:

  • 35 downloads since September 17

  • Probably 1 or 2 of them are me, testing on my own laptop

  • Revenue: nothing. Business model: hope.

The real question: is “one app for the whole trip” a good idea, or did I just create a very elaborate way to avoid using five apps? Be honest, I’m not going to cry (probably).

And if you try it, tell me the moment you’d have deleted it. That’s the most useful thing you can give me.
