I originally built Seedling for my wife and me. We were about to spend £16k on IVF with no guarantees and had no clear way to choose a clinic. Reviews were subjective and basically meaningless without knowing the person’s age, diagnosis, weight or wider circumstances — and no one wants to share that publicly. On top of that, comparing clinics was a nightmare: prices were inconsistent, availability was unclear, specialisms were buried, and even figuring out which clinics were practical to travel to took hours. Seedling came from that frustration. We needed an objective, anonymised way to understand how people like us were choosing clinics — plus a simple way to compare costs, services and logistics all in one place.
