Video editors: how did you handle your last out-of-scope request?

I’m building Revision Review, a free pilot for video editors who agree a fixed project fee and then receive an extra client request.

I’d like to hear from up to three editors who have handled this on a real paid project. What did you use to decide whether to charge extra, and how did you explain the change to the client?

Download and extract the ZIP, then open Revision-Review.html in Edge on Windows. Enter the original agreement and the extra request, and try preparing a client draft. The tool is a standalone file, needs no account, and keeps project data on your device. Saving is manual. Other browsers and macOS have not been tested.
