I’m Manan, co-creator and lead engineer at REPLACI.
We built REPLACI to solve a problem that almost everyone faces while buying furniture online:
“Will this actually look good in my room?”
Most furniture buying journeys still depend on static product images, measurements, imagination, and a lot of guesswork. For customers, that creates hesitation. For furniture brands, it creates longer sales cycles, lower confidence, and more back-and-forth with buyers.
With REPLACI, users can upload an interior image and visualize furniture inside that space — replacing existing items, trying different products, and making the room feel more interactive before making a buying decision.
From the engineering side, this has been a really exciting challenge. We’ve been working on AI-powered scene understanding, object segmentation, object removal, furniture placement, real-time workflows, and cloud infrastructure that can handle heavy visual processing behind a simple user experience.
As the lead engineer, one thing I care deeply about is making complex AI feel effortless for the user. The goal is not to make people think about models, pipelines, or 3D workflows — the goal is simply to help them answer:
“Does this look right in my space?”
