Quiz8 2.0 - Turn any topic into a multiplayer quiz night
by•
Quiz8 turns any topic into a hosted game night. Enter a subject, get a ready-to-play quiz, and share a code—players join from any phone or browser without accounts. V2 adds teams, live leaderboards, optional power-ups, picture and ordering questions, answer explanations, and post-game reports. For accuracy-critical image rounds, flags, maps, and landmarks come from fixed datasets instead of AI guesses. Free plan: up to 20 players, 7 questions, and 2 topics per game.

Hi Product Hunt 👋
I launched Quiz8 here about a year ago. Since then, people have created 3,549 games—and their feedback made one problem obvious: the first version worked, but it still felt more like a form than a real quiz night.
So I rebuilt it around the moment a group starts playing:
👥 Teams and a live leaderboard
⚡ Optional power-ups and a risk question that can cost points
🖼️ Picture and ordering rounds
💡 Explanations after every answer
📊 A post-game report for the host
Quiz8 can generate questions from any topic. For flags, maps, and landmarks, 2.0 uses fixed datasets instead of asking an AI to guess the image, because a plausible wrong answer ruins the round.
A host chooses a topic and shares a code. Players join from any phone or browser without creating accounts. The free plan supports up to 20 players, 7 questions, and 2 topics per game; Pro is €2.99/month.
I’m still a solo maker, and discovery is the part I haven’t solved. If you try it, I’d love blunt feedback on two things:
1. Can you start a game without instructions?
2. Does it feel ready for friends, a classroom, or a team event?
I’ll be here throughout launch day and will share what I learn, including weak results.
