put·here - A place to collect notes to organize them later

Most note apps want an answer the moment you save something: a title, a folder, a tag. Ideas show up before they have a shape. put·here is a canvas for the Mac where text, links, pictures and files land wherever you drop them — paste, drag, or press ⌃⌥P from any app. Step back and the whole canvas reads at a glance. Every canvas is a real folder of plain files on your Mac, so your notes stay yours. Free to start.

Hi Product Hunt — I'm Peter. I built put·here because I had hundreds of saved links, screenshots and half-thoughts, and every app wanted me to file them before I knew what they were. So put·here does one thing first: it lets you put things down. Paste, drag, or hit ⌃⌥P from any app, and it lands on a canvas. No title, no folder, no tag. When you come back, you step back, see it all, and group things by hand. Everything lives as plain files in a folder on your Mac, so if you ever stop using the app, your notes are still there. It's free to start, Mac only (macOS 14+). I'd love to hear where it falls short for you — what did you try to drop in that didn't work?
