What actually stops you from listing a digital product?

by

We're building up to a launch here on 1 September, and I keep coming back to one question.

When I was selling digital downloads on Etsy, the design was never the part that stopped me. It was everything after it: a title that actually ranks in search, thirteen tags, mockups that look like something a person would want on their wall, the description, packaging the files. One $4.99 product could eat a whole day.

I built PromptlessPress around that assumption. But I'd rather test it than assume it.

So, if you've sold digital products anywhere - Etsy, Gumroad, your own site - which part actually slowed you down? And if you started and then stopped, where exactly did you stop?

Genuinely curious, and it shapes what I work on next.
