We removed subscriptions from Poqsy. Here’s why.

Six months after launching Poqsy, we made a pretty big decision.

We removed our subscription model and switched to a one-time lifetime purchase.

We realized most bands don’t want another recurring monthly expense just to organize rehearsals, songs, setlists, recordings, notes, and gigs.

Since launch we’ve also redesigned most of the app, simplified the interface, improved performance, and added lots of quality-of-life features based on user feedback.

I’m curious—when you’re choosing productivity software, do you generally prefer:

• a subscription
• a lifetime purchase
• or a generous free plan with optional upgrades?
