Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Birat, and I built Pinpoint.
I use AI coding agents all day, and the slowest part was never the code. It was explaining which button I meant. “The yellow-ish one near the bottom of the settings card” sends the agent on a search, and it often edits the wrong file.
So I built a way to point instead:
📍 Click any element (or select text) and write what should change
🧩 Pinpoint grabs the selector, the component tree and, in dev, the exact file and line
📋 One click copies it all as markdown for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any agent
⏸️ Pause animations to annotate the exact frame
It works with React, Next.js, Vue, Svelte, Angular, Rails, web components and plain HTML. It’s free and open source, and your notes never leave your browser.
