I like to work in the Pixel Art style and for years I have done this with a variety of other tools (Aseprite, custom workflows, and more). Then a friend asked me to help him design some Adafruit Matrix LED boards, and I started making an editor so he could make his own. Then, like I often do, I just...kept making it, until I ended up with what is a bit like After Effects for LEDs. To say I overbuilt for his requirements is an understatement. While it is of course ideal for the purpose of dot-matrix grids, it is also awesome for making pixel art too!
