You can try a live interactive preview of PanicMode directly on the website

Small update since launch day: I added a live interactive preview directly into the PanicMode website so people can instantly try the concept before downloading the desktop app.

You can now press ⌘/Ctrl + Shift + O anywhere on the website to trigger a browser-based overlay preview of PanicMode.

The browser version only covers the page itself, while the real macOS/Windows app works system-wide with the native shortcut.

This change already makes the concept much easier to understand compared to static screenshots/videos.

I love it!

It's a great idea to let the users "try" the product even before downloading it. I'm stealing that idea for my app.

Does PanicMode work across multiple screens and virtual desktops? How does it work if I only have sensitive information in one of the screens?

@diego_2r87 Thanks, really appreciate that.

I had the same thought with the live demo. For this kind of app, people need to feel the switch before installing anything.

Right now PanicMode opens on the current monitor only, because it uses a windowed fullscreen cover. So if sensitive information is on another screen, it won’t automatically cover that display yet.

Multi-monitor support is definitely something I want to improve, probably with options to cover all screens or only selected ones.
