When you add a trip, Packmates AI pulls real weather data for your destination and travel dates — not a generic seasonal guess, but the actual expected conditions for those specific dates. That data feeds directly into what gets suggested: rain gear only shows up if there's a real chance of rain, extra layers only get added for cold conditions, sun protection scales up for hot or humid destinations, and so on.

It's paired with your planned activities too, so a beach trip and a hiking trip happening around the same time of year won't get the same list, even if the weather looks similar — the activity type and the weather condition together decide the specific items.
