Nicely - Same-day gifting for locavores in D.C. & overnight anywhere.

I used Nicely to send an expecting friend (whose due date is this week!) a package of 6 locally made delicious cookies. Incredibly easy interface and free delivery. (I have no association with Nicely, just genuinely enjoy delightful apps.) If I were going to improve the app, I'd say (a) add more D.C. local shops and bakeries - Dangerously Delicious, BreadFurst, etc and (b) allow tracking or send text updates such as 'Your gift is being packaged!' or 'Your gift is on its way!'
