NegativeEV - Bet checker that exposes bad bets (which is most of them)
by•
NegativeEV is the first tool built to surface the bad bets. Most bets are bad bets, and people know it, but they always think theirs is one of the good ones. They're wrong. Check before you place it and see if the data backs it up. It usually doesn't. Free.

Hey Product Hunt
I'm Jesse. I'm a software developer. I love sports, and I hate gambling. I built this tool to convince people out of their bets by exposing those bets for what they are: negative EV investments.
NegativeEV is the first tool out there designed to surface the bad bets. The premise is that most bets are bad bets, and people instinctively know that, but in their heads they always think, "No, this is one of the good bets." They're wrong. So we built NegativeEV to be that second opinion for casual bettors to check and see, before they place a bet, if the data truly backs it up. It usually doesn't.
Casual gambling is huge right now. It's so easy now to make, mathematically, the worst possible investment decision, night after night.
So how do we do this with accuracy? We built machine learning models that model every aspect of each sport, right now baseball, women's basketball, tennis and golf. They're trained on the play-by-play history of each one, every pitch thrown since 2023 and every WNBA possession since 2017, and they were tested and retested until they hit specific benchmarks for accuracy and calibration.
The only way this works is if checking is frictionless, so I built first-class screenshot support. Screenshot the bet you want to place (or one someone is promoting on X) and paste it in at negativeev.com. We'll tell you if it's a good bet or a bad bet.
Free. We support MLB, WNBA, PGA, and ATP (Men's Tennis) right now. Let me know what you all think. Thanks.
