Nebula - Live backgrounds + a real in-game overlay for Discord

by
Nebula is a personal, open-source fork of Vencord that goes further than typical Discord themes. LiveTheme brings animated video/gradient backgrounds through fully transparent panels via a runtime engine, not guessed CSS classes. Free Mode turns Discord into a multi-window desktop. The standout: pin any window and it becomes a real always-on-top overlay - chat and voice floating above your game, summoned with Ctrl+Shift+`, using the xdg-desktop-portal GlobalShortcuts API where supported.

Hey! I built Nebula because I wanted my Discord to feel like my own setup, not just a reskin. The feature I'm most proud of is the in-game overlay - it's a real OS window, not a screen hack, and on compositors that support it (KDE, Hyprland) the hotkey is bound through the actual GlobalShortcuts portal instead of Electron's limited globalShortcut API. Still very much a work in progress - would love feedback, and PRs are welcome. GPL-3.0, forked from Vencord.
