Few weeks ago, I shared an early version of Nattly. Based on initial feedback and my own experience, I rebuilt a large part of it around a core realisation: flashcards optimize for recognition, not production. Many intermediate learners can understand native English seamlessly, but freeze or revert to clunky, direct translations when forced to speak. Flashcards teach you to recognize words on a screen; they don't teach your brain to produce natural phrases under conversational pressure. I stripped out standard flashcards and rebuilt Nattly around a four-step loop: The Scenario: Nattly gives you a situation (e.g., "Your friend asks why you were late"). The Attempt: You try to answer however you can. The Native Alternative: Nattly shows you how a native British speaker would actually express that thought (e.g., "I got held up by the bus"). The Reuse: It brings those constructions back in later scenarios where they naturally fit. I would love your feedback.
