I'm building MuseGen — a AI Music Generator for Commercial Songs from Text, Audio, or Lyrics
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built MuseGen because making one short track meant keeping five tabs open.
A lyrics tool over here. A generator over there. Then some random site to
check the BPM, another to convert MP3 to WAV, another to pull MIDI out of a
melody. And if I wanted a video to go with it, that was a separate afternoon.
MuseGen is that whole loop in one place:
🎵 Create Music — describe what you want in a sentence, or paste your own
lyrics. Flip on Pure Music when you want it instrumental.
✍️ Lyrics Generator — start from a theme when you don't have words yet.
🎬 MV Generation — turn the finished track into a music video without
leaving the app.
🎛️ The unglamorous stuff — Detect BPM, Key Detector, MP3 to WAV,
Audio to MIDI.
🗂️ Media Library keeps every version you made. Music Plaza is where you
can hear what other people are working on.
There's also a library of ~60 ready-to-use prompt templates sorted by genre,
for when the empty prompt box is the actual blocker.
What it doesn't do yet, so nobody is caught out: no stem or multitrack
export, and no public API. Both come up constantly and both are real gaps
right now.
The question I'd most like answered today: which step in your process is the
one where you give up? Drop it in the comments — I'm here all day and
reading everything.
