Do you want Murmell to be opensource ?

We're considering open-sourcing part (or potentially most) of Murmell.

The business would still be around the cloud: managed infrastructure, persistent agents, collaboration, environments, etc.

But I'm curious whether having the underlying product open source would actually change your decision to use it.

Would it make you:

  • trust the product more?

  • more likely to try it?

  • more willing to pay for the hosted cloud version?

  • want to self-host it instead?

Or, realistically, does open source not matter much as long as the cloud product is good?

Genuinely curious how much weight this has in your decision when choosing developer tools.

If Murmell became open source tomorrow, would that make you more likely to use/pay for it? Why?
