MST AI Engineer - From P&ID and PDM parts to a SOLIDWORKS assembly

by•
Give it a P&ID gas-line diagram, the approved parts in your PDM and your equipment rules, and it builds a native, editable SOLIDWORKS assembly. Also turns 2D drawings into 3D models. Starting with semiconductor gas equipment.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm nemo from MST.

We build MST AI Engineer for the engineering teams at industrial equipment makers. A lot of their week goes into repetitive design work: rebuilding familiar arrangements for a new variant, remodeling parts that already exist as 2D drawings, and moving components around a cabinet until the connections finally fit.

MST AI Engineer has three modules:

1. Mechanical assembly AI: bring a P&ID gas-line diagram, the approved parts in your PDM and your equipment rules, and MST creates a native, editable SOLIDWORKS assembly your engineers can inspect and keep developing.

2. Drawing to model: turn existing 2D CAD drawings into 3D models and inspect the result beside its source views.

3. Layout and connections: explore arrangements and connections that fit your equipment requirements and available space.

We're starting with semiconductor gas equipment, and the 92-second demo shows the SOLIDWORKS assembly-execution stage in the actual MST interface. Engineers stay in charge: results come with source information so your team can review them before accepting anything.

Two ways to try it:

- Free tools: Drawing to BOM, BOM Compare, BOM Check and more at

- If your team designs configured equipment, apply for a team trial with your own design challenge:

Cloud access or private deployment are both options. I'd really value blunt feedback from mechanical and equipment engineers: where would this save you time, and where would you not trust it yet?
