MiPlaca: making vehicle checks in Ecuador easier to understand
Hi everyone! I’m building MiPlaca, a web app that helps drivers and used-car buyers in Ecuador check vehicle fines and outstanding payments by license plate.
The problem is straightforward: before buying a car or handling vehicle paperwork, people need to understand what’s pending and what deserves attention. That process can be confusing, especially if you’re doing it for the first time.
With MiPlaca, you choose a check, enter the license plate, and review the available results. Practical guides in Spanish help explain what to check before buying a used car and how to approach common vehicle paperwork.
I’m focusing on a mobile-friendly experience, clear results, fewer unnecessary steps, and caching repeated checks to reduce waiting. The project uses Laravel, Blade, Bootstrap, and MySQL.
I’d appreciate feedback on the product itself: is its purpose immediately clear? Are the results easy to understand? What would make you feel more confident about your next step?
