Meowminder - A tiny cat that makes reminders harder to ignore

by
Meowminder turns easy-to-ignore browser alerts into a small animated cat that walks onto the page you’re viewing. Set daily routines or one-time reminders, then mark them done or snooze for 10 minutes from the cat’s speech bubble. Choose its side, color, sound or silence. Everything stays in your browser—no account, tracking, analytics or network requests. Free for Chrome.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Ayaan, the maker of Meowminder. I built it because normal reminder notifications had become background noise for me. I would dismiss them without actually drinking water, stretching, or doing the thing. So I replaced them with a small hand-drawn cat that walks onto the page I’m using and stays until I choose Done or +10 min. One-tap routines for water, stretching, eye breaks, and wind-down time Custom one-time reminders Done or snooze without leaving the page Three cat colors, sounds, and screen positions Everything stays locally in your browser, no account or tracking Meowminder is free. I want it to sit somewhere between forgettable notifications and aggressive productivity blockers. I’d really value honest feedback: does the cat feel helpful or distracting after using it? And what daily routine should I add next?

Love the no-account vibe and the snooze button is genuinely useful. One thing that would make this stick for me is letting the cat react when you actually finish a task, like a little headbutt or purr animation. It would turn marking something done into a tiny reward instead of just clicking a checkbox, and it fits the whole playful tone of the extension.

That’s a great idea! A headbutt or purr would make completing a reminder feel more rewarding. Adding this to my update ideas. Thank you! 🐱

Congrats on launching Meowminder! I like the focus on a tiny cat that makes reminders harder to ignore. Excited to see where it goes. 🚀

Thanks, Leon! Keeping Meowminder small, simple and difficult to ignore was exactly the goal. Appreciate your support!

The local only approach is a great fit for this. No account, tracking, or network requests makes it easy to trust for daily routines.

Congrats on the launch! 🐱

Thanks, Mohammed! Keeping reminders private and fully local was very important to me. Glad that stood out, and thank you for the support! 🐱
