Mentium: AI Trivia & Quiz Game - Trivia where your AI rival actually remembers you

byβ€’
Mentium is an Android trivia game with 13 modes, 10 culturally-anchored languages (not just translations), and no mandatory paywall. The hook: your AI rival uses Gemini to remember every match β€” your weak categories, your panic patterns, the time you nailed that obscure question. After a few games, it plays you, not the questions. Modes range from classic 1v1 to a 50-question Exam marathon, conversational Detective interrogations, and async Online. Indie, EU-hosted, free-to-play.

Hi PH πŸ‘‹ I'm ValentΓn, solo dev behind Mentium. I built this because I was tired of trivia games where the "rival" is a name and a difficulty slider. Mentium's rival runs on Gemini and actually remembers you across matches β€” what categories you dodge, when you panic-pick, your bluff patterns. After ~5 games it starts playing you, not the questions. A few other things that make it not-quite-like-everything-else: - 13 modes β€” some classic, some weird. Detective is a conversational interrogation. Examen is a 50-question marathon. Online is async multiplayer. - 10 languages, NOT translations. Each one has its own question bank with native curation + cultural anchoring (a Polish food question is actually about Polish food, not a translated US one). - No mandatory paywall. In-game currency unlocks everything cosmetic; the only IAP is impatience. - Built solo. Kotlin + Compose, Firestore europe-west1, Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite. Android 8.0+. There's a Beta Pioneer reward (avatar + frame + title + Reliquia chest) for anyone who plays 10 matches during early access. Disappears when we exit early access. Would love feedback on: 1. Is the AI rival fun or annoying after 20 games? 2. Which mode hooks you and which feels filler? 3. Obvious blind spots I'm missing as a solo dev? AMA on tech, design, or business model. Thank you for taking a look πŸ™
