Sure, some cloud solutions do this, but I absolutely refused to upload my entire personal gallery to a server just to get a decent search bar. The Solution: I built Memoria. It's a local search engine for your camera roll. Here is what it does entirely on-device: 🔍 Video Transcription: Uses local Whisper models to let you search for words spoken inside your videos. 📝 Deep OCR: Reads text inside your photos and screenshots. 👤 Faces & Objects: Recognizes people and things without any cloud processing. It creates a local database directly on your phone. Zero cloud, zero account, zero subscriptions. It's free to test on your first 250 media. Building this with offline ML models was a huge technical challenge (especially managing battery consumption while running Whisper locally).
