MarketPlays - Invest in AI or clean energy without picking stocks

by•
MarketPlays turns a theme like AI or clean energy into a portfolio: broad ETFs blended with what verified investors actually hold, synced live. One slider sets your mix, and you trade through the broker you already use. Nothing trades without you. New since our last launch: the blend slider, 9 broker connections, AI research on every stock, and a free forever tier.

Hey Product Hunt, Efe here.

This is MarketPlays' third launch. The first version in 2024 honestly was not ready, it was a social investing thing, people talking about stocks. The feedback was fair and a bit brutal. So I went back and rebuilt everything around the itch that would not leave me alone: you saw AI coming, your portfolio probably didn't catch it. Same with clean energy, same with defense. Investing in a theme you believe in usually means picking stocks blind or handing your money to some black box.

Here's what MarketPlays does now. It shows you a theme through two lenses most people never get side by side: what the big ETFs hold, and the live-synced holdings of verified investors who are actually in it. Verified means synced straight from connected brokerage accounts, so you're looking at real positions, not talk. Pick a theme and it builds you a portfolio from both, with a slider to set the mix. Then connect the broker you already use (9 supported, including Robinhood, Webull and E*TRADE) and you can own the whole theme in a couple of taps. We never hold your money, and nothing trades without your approval.

There's more in there: AI research that hands you any stock's bull case, bear case and risks in plain language in seconds, and portfolio updates that show exactly what changed and when (weekly on free, daily on Pro).

Free to start. Pro unlocks all 350+ themes, unlimited trades and daily updates, first 14 days free.

I'll be around all day, and I want the rough feedback this time too. One question: if you could see what verified investors actually hold in a theme, would that change how you invest? If not, what's the blocker?
