Maestro - UI for any agentic harness and more

by
Maestro is an all platform desktop app that drives the agentic harness you already use (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Copilot, and more). It provides task workflow automation, issue tracking and code hosting integration, local and remote connection (SSH, WSL, containers) and great DX so that you don't need an IDE anymore.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 Maestro was created when harness were still called "coding agents" and only lived in the terminal or in an IDE. Now they all have their own desktop application with enhanced output capabilities. Maestro does too... But it has so much more to offer ! 1. Free personal use ! Maestro is free and open source. It does not require any account or login. Runs locally. Do not send any telemetry or any type of data. Install it, launch it, use it. 2. Can be connected to preselected list of issue tracking and code hosting provider. Access tokens and credentials are stored in OS keychain not in Maestro. Integrations can be used to clone your projects from repositories, import issues into tasks, and create pull requests. 3. Can be used locally or remotely. Open a remote connection through SSH, WSL or even Docker/Podman containers. 4. Manage your tasks with a kanban board and configurable workflow automation. 5. For projects using git, Maestro handle your worktrees automatically so you can create parallel executions without ever worrying about those. 6. Sessions have enhanced output for your agents with enhanced markdown, mermaid diagrams, SVG, images, charts, math formula, canvas and much more. Each session has a side panel with an overview of the session events, terminal tabs, file browser tabs and git diff viewer with feedback annotations for the agent. Maestro ships no agent of its own. It drives the one you already pay for (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, OpenCode, goose, Cline, and many more). Your subscription, your model access, your keys and your setup. Maestro is available today on macOS, Linux and Windows. It's under Apache-2.0 license and It is evolving and improving quickly. Feedback and issues are very welcome. Huge thanks to Zed Industries for the Agent Client Protocol. Maestro could not exist without it.
