Luna - Turn an old phone into your child's bedside sleep clock

Hi Product Hunt 👋 When our son started waking up at 5am, convinced the night was over, we bought one of those kids sleep trainers. It was expensive, it worked badly, and it never got a single update. Money wasted on a sealed plastic box. But the idea behind it did work: he finally understood when it was ok to get out of bed. Then our daughter started waking up too early and fighting bedtime. Buying that thing again was not an option. Turns out we already owned the fix. One old phone in a drawer. Working, useless. A better screen than any of those clocks, a speaker, a mic and WiFi, already paid for. So the first version of Luna was just a clock face on it, with a sun and a moon. It worked, and then the questions started. Can the light be dimmer? Can bedtime move tonight? Is she actually asleep? Every answer meant opening her door and waking her up. That is where the real product appeared: the parent phone became a remote for the clock, over the home WiFi, paired with a PIN. The rest grew from there. Weekly schedules and one-off naps. A nightlight border you set from your bed. Your own songs as the wake-up sound. A listen and talk call, so you can hear the room and answer without going in. The case came last and changed everything. A phone on a shelf still looks like a phone. Printed, it becomes a bedside object that belongs to the kid.
