Locoround - Follow places, not people.

by
Locoround flips social media on its head. Instead of following people, you follow places. 📍 Tap any location on the map and see what people there are actually talking about: events, news, promotions, or just neighbourhood chatter. No algorithmic feed. No distant strangers. Just real-time, hyperlocal updates from the people who share your space. Create permanent "boards" for their location Post "flyers" for events that auto-expire based on popularity score. Know your neighbourhood. Finally.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋
Today’s a big day for us, Locoround is officially live on iOS and Android!

Locoround is built around one simple idea: follow places, not just people.
We want to help people pay attention to what’s happening around them — under the same sky, in the same streets, with the people who actually share their space.

With Locoround, you can see what your neighbors are really talking about — real conversations from real people in real places.

Why I made Locoround

I started building Locoround because I felt strangely disconnected from my own neighborhood.
I could tell you what was trending across the world… but I had no idea there was a garage sale two blocks away.

That felt wrong.

Social media made me feel global, but not local.

So I asked myself: what if social media worked more like a community bulletin board?

You know those flyers taped to poles or pinned at cafés, lost dogs, yard sales, new shops opening. They were simple, but they worked. They told you what was happening here, not somewhere far away.

That became Locoround.

Below is how it works

🗺️ Follow places, not just people
Follow a café, a park, a street, or a whole neighborhood. See what people are saying about those specific spots.

📌 Three kinds of Handbills
• Boards — permanent spaces for real-world locations (like a cafe, park, or neighbourhood)
• Flyers — time-sensitive posts for news, promotions, requests, chats, or events, designed to spread quickly and fade when they’re no longer relevant
• Posters — permanent posts inside a specific Board, shared with that place’s group or community

🎯 Location-first feed
Your feed is based on where things happen, not just who posts them.

🌍 Explore anywhere
Zoom from 100m to 5km and beyond. Moving somewhere new? See what locals are talking about before you arrive.

We believe your neighborhood deserves more attention.
The people around you have stories worth hearing.
And the places you pass every day already have conversations happening, you just can’t see them yet.

Be a little nosy (in a good way).
Check the vibe of real places.
Meet neighbors, not just followers.

Locoround adds a layer of local connection to your life.
See your community. Be part of it.
