Lection - Describe the data you want, get a clean table

by•
Lection is a Chrome extension that turns any web page into a clean table. Describe the data in plain English, export it, or schedule it into Google Sheets, email or webhooks. Now with a Claude MCP connector, an n8n template and a 30-day free trial.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Joe, the maker of Lection. We launched an early version here last year. This is the first launch since I rebuilt most of it, so here's the honest version of what changed. The problem I kept running into: I needed data from some web page in a spreadsheet, and every option was either a copy-paste marathon or a scraper I had to learn selectors for. Extensions that grab HTML tables are great until the data is paginated, behind a login, or split across a list page and detail pages. So Lection works like this: you open the page in Chrome, describe what you want ("company name, rating, phone and website for each result"), and it builds a table, following pagination and detail links. It runs in your browser, so pages you're logged into work too. If you need the data again next week, save it as a schedule and it runs in the cloud and sends new rows to Google Sheets, email or a webhook. Also new: you can use Lection from Claude through an MCP connector, and there's an n8n template. There are free one-click tools for the jobs people ask about most: Instagram comments and followers, LinkedIn connections, Google Maps and YouTube comments. Pricing, plainly: the free plan is 5 credits a month with no card. Standard is $29/month with a 30-day free trial (card required, cancel any time). Pro is $99/month. Things it's not great at yet: heavily bot-protected sites will block some runs, and very large crawls cost credits. What would you want to scrape that doesn't work today?
